First Class Training

Nov 2, 2001

I'm currently taking a First Class course. In other words, I'll soon graduate being an economy crew. There are 3 of us Pinay (I'm with Beth and Michelle)in a class of 16 crew. Some of my batchmates are on leave so they'll be taking the course on January. The course is 3 weeks long because there's a lot to learn about the services. While we're on training, we won't have any flight. All we do is learn and eat because we orient ourselves with 1st class food, dining courses & service procedures. The crew will take turn practising while the others act like passengers. But as the passenger we take notes. We practice services at the mock-up. That's a pretend-cabin interior complete with passenger seats and operative galley. We were also required to take a refresher course in First Aid and On-board Announcement. Im really enjoying myself. I need this break away from flying. I feel relaxed, no pressure, like I’m on vacation. and all these food familiarization is making me gain weight.
